A 37 year old man tested positive of Corona Virus in Sierra Leone making it to be the first confirm case in the country
The first confirmed case of Corona Virus in Sierra Lone is from a 37 year old male who came from France on a air Brussels flight and arrived in Sierra Leone 16th March 2020. He was immediately placed on quarantine and tested at that period when his results came back positive says president Maada Bio. All persons that came or have been in contact with this Male person will be quarantine from today in order to reduce the spread of the virus.
President Bio added all measures will be taken against suspected cases. All citizens are encouraged to practice social hygiene and social distancing protocols at all times. The president stated that any medical attention should be treated by a medical professional and in a hospital as it’s the best place to receive treatment.
He advised that citizens should reports any person with symptoms of dry cough, fever and have difficulty breathing. He emphasised this is not a lock-down however the government will respond and apply additional measures as things changes overtime. He also wants to remind the people that they also have responsibilities to keep one another safe at this trying times.
