Review of Samsung S8 64GB SIM-Free Smartphone – Midnight Black (SM-G950F)

0

Samsung’s latest smart phone has landed and its one of the year’s most desirable tech products. Boasting the stunning infinity display screen – a high res. 5.8 inches that runs edge-to-edge across the front – the Galaxy S8 also offers a cutting edge 12MP camera, an iris scanner and a rugged water and dustproof construction.

  • 5.8” QuadHD + sAMOLED display – Rounded-corner Infinity Display and symmetrical metal sides that blend effortlessly for a seamless look
  • IP68-rated water and dust resistant with a powerful 10nm mobile AP for multi-tasking
  • Dual pixel 12MP camera with F1.7 lens and enhanced image processing. 8MP front camera with facial recognition for smart autofocus
  • 3,000mAh battery with fast charging capabilities via USB Type-C
  • Expandable memory up to 256GB for storing all your photos, movies and music

Intro

The revolutionary design of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ begins from the inside out. Samsung have rethought every part of the phone’s layout to break through the confines of the smartphone screen. So all you see is pure content and virtually no bezel. It’s the biggest, most immersive screen on a Galaxy smartphone of this size. And it’s easy to hold in one hand.

Design

The Infinity Display has an incredible end-to-end screen that spills over the phone’s sides, forming a completely smooth, continuous surface with no bumps or angles. It’s pure, pristine, uninterrupted glass. And it takes up the entire front of the phone, flowing seamlessly into the aluminum shell. The result is a beautifully curved, perfectly symmetrical, singular object.

Security

Prying eyes are not a problem when you have iris scanning on the Galaxy S8 and S8+. Your irises have patterns that are unique to you, and they’re nearly impossible to replicate. That means with iris scanning, your phone and its contents open to your eyes only. And when you need to unlock really fast, face recognition is a handy option.

Performance

You never really stop using your phone. That’s why Galaxy S8 and S8+ are driven by the world’s first 10nm processor. It’s fast and powerful and increases battery efficiency. Plus, there’s the ability to expand storage, and to work through rain and dust with IP68-rated performance.

Smart switch

From your photos and videos to contacts and music, Smart Switch lets you easily transfer your memories on your old phone to your new Galaxy S8 or S8+. Now that you know all the memories are coming with you, you can focus on making new ones with your Galaxy S8 or S8+.

Accessibility

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are built to be more accessible for everyone. A well-thought-out range of technical solutions make it easy for anyone to make full use of the Galaxy S8 and S8+’s advanced capabilities.

Infinity Display – mobile entertainment, made epic

Whether you’re catching up on the news or watching your favourite Netflix series, the Galaxy S8’s dazzling 5.8-inch Quad HD+* Infinity Display brings your favourite apps and media to life in crystal-clear high-resolution.

Stunning shots, every time

When it comes to stunning photography, the Galaxy S-series’ newest addition has raised the bar once more.

With a Dual Pixel 12MP camera, F1.7 lens and enhanced image processing, your pictures and videos will always be eye-catching and sharply-defined; while state-of-the-art facial recognition software underpins the smart autofocus functionality – for the ultimate selfies.
